The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an organisation which provides, through its member U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for the sheer joy of discovery!
Members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them.
Here in Kidsgrove we provide a range of groups and activities from Philosopy to Walking groups. The full range can be seen on the Activities page.
We hold general meetings once a month (except August and December) where all are welcome to come and chat to the members and see what is on offer that might suit you. These meetings are normally on the last Tuesday of each month at 1.30pm in Butt Lane Community Centre…but check the Latest News page for any changes and details of the speaker.
The Kidsgrove & District U3A group official constitution is available here or a paper copy can be obtained at one of the monthly meetings.
