Great job at Lawton Manor. They liked us so much we’re going back on Dec 17th to do a Christmas set.
Next Butt Lane meeting on Dec 3rd and then we’ll squeeze an extra one in on Dec 10th. The U3A party on the 18th is no problem but if we’re going to do a fairly long set (basically playing everything we know) at Lawton we definitely need a little practice.
And here’s a picture from the gig that a few of us did on Saturday Oct 13th. As a starter for our World Tour we travelled to the Victoria Centre in far-off Biddulph which was wonderfully decorated for their Flower/Harvest Festival. We played a few of the old favourites to open their Variety Show fund-raiser for MS Research. And isn’t there always one who stands there waving his arms and talking instead of getting on with playing!
Congratulations on the gig at Bradwell Hall. Lots of people said how much they enjoyed it. I mentioned that soon we’d be thinking about a Christmas repertoire so we’re invited back for that and this time they’d like us to do two sessions in different wings if you’re up for it.
Here are printable versions of the songs we have been playing. Most are our interpretations and all are intended for use by Kidsgrove U3A Ukelele group members. A few have been borrowed from other ukelele sites around the world. If any of these belong to you and you want them removing please contact us via the contact page.
